The brief
Catalina is a Mediterranean restaurant in a quiet spot right by the beach, with a large, cosy terrace and a menu full of fresh fish, meat and seafood. Photos of single plates only show part of that. The brief was a film of about three minutes that brings the place, the food, the drinks and the service together and makes people want to spend an evening there.
Our approach
We shot on one evening at the end of August 2023, with a one-person crew and a 4K full-frame camera. That kept the shoot unobtrusive, and service carried on as usual. The film combines carefully composed impressions of the rooms and dishes with real moments from the evening: the flame over the rice, paella with prawns, guests on the terrace. In the edit we relied mostly on slow motion and cut by theme, so the film feels like an evening at the restaurant. The grade is natural yet saturated, matching the warm atmosphere.

A 3:15 brand film plus stills from the same footage for Instagram. People who don't know the restaurant yet see beforehand what an evening there feels like.
