Criteria
How the jury rates
Each jury member gives 0 to 10 points per criterion. The mean of all votes, weighted as shown, gives the rating from 0 to 100. Anyone involved in a work or working for the brand doesn't vote on it. Each edition lists who sits on the jury.
- Strategy25%
- A clear goal, the right audience, the right channels.
- Idea and content25%
- Content people want to see, and an idea that ties it together.
- Results35%
- Proven numbers: reach, enquiries, bookings, applications, cost per result. What isn't proven doesn't count.
- Brand fit15%
- Whether the work builds the brand rather than just chasing clicks.
Mirrors
One to three Mirrors
A Mirror is the unit of the rating, like a star in a restaurant guide. The three bars come from the MAD MIRROR STUDIOS logo: the more of them light up, the better the work.
1 Mirror · Very good
Work that stands out in its category.
From 70 points.
2 Mirrors · Excellent
Clearly ahead of the market, with no weakness in any criterion.
From 80 points, no criterion below 50.
3 Mirrors · Exceptional
Sets the standard, strong in every criterion.
From 90 points, no criterion below 70.
The Test Winner of a subcategory in a region is the work with the highest rating, provided it reaches at least one Mirror and at least five works were rated. In a tie, the works share the title.
Regions
Six regions, one Test Winner each
Each work enters exactly one region: where the brand it was made for is based. Who made it, and from where, doesn't matter.
01
Ibiza and Formentera
The island where it all started.
02
Barcelona
The city and its surroundings.
03
Mallorca and Menorca
The rest of the Balearic Islands.
04
Spain
The rest of Spain.
05
Germany
All of Germany.
06
International
Every other country.

Frequently asked questions
How do I prove results?
With screenshots from the ad account or the channel's insights, including the period. Numbers stay with the jury; only what you approve is published.
Does the biggest reach win?
No. The jury weighs results against the goal and the size of the business. Ten bookings for a small restaurant can count for more than a million views without effect.
What does it cost to enter?
Nothing. Entering is free, and a rating can't be bought. The jury also picks works that catch its eye; all of them are rated the same way.
Which region do I enter?
Each work enters exactly one region: where the brand it was made for is based. Who made it, and from where, doesn't matter. The regions: Ibiza and Formentera, Barcelona, Mallorca and Menorca, Spain, Germany, International.
How does a work become Test Winner?
The Test Winner of a subcategory in a region is the work with the highest rating, provided it reaches at least one Mirror and at least five works were rated. In a tie, the works share the title.
