Website for Ibiza Hotels and Beach Clubs: Checklist Before the 2027 Season

Website redesign checklist for Ibiza hotels and beach clubs: languages, online booking, pages for Google and AI search. Example: Vanilla Beach Ibiza.

A new website for a hotel or beach club in Ibiza should be in the works in October or November 2026 and live by early March 2027 at the latest. That gives Google enough time to index the new pages. Your team can test online booking, and the site is ready when guests book their summer and venues open in spring.

We know this from our own work. In 2026 we built the website for Vanilla Beach Ibiza, in five languages and with online booking. Today it ranks in Google's top 5 for 710 keywords, and one in three search visits comes from ChatGPT. We've worked in Ibiza since 2023, we're on the island regularly during the season, and we also made the brand film and ran social media for Vanilla Beach. This checklist is what we tick off before every redesign.

Website redesign timeline: working back from opening day

Most hotels, beach clubs and restaurants in Ibiza open between April and May. Count back from that date, not forward from today. Your website doesn't just need to be online before the season starts. It needs to be found, take reservations without errors and make sense to your team. That takes a few quiet weeks after launch, before any guest is at the door.

Winter is the best time for this. The 2026 season is over, your team has time for feedback, and your summer footage is fresh. Plan the Christmas weeks as a break. A realistic schedule looks like this:

    • October to November: set goals, site structure, languages and booking system, and review your existing photos and video
    • December: design the key pages, approve copy in your main language
    • January: build the site, connect booking, translations
    • February: mobile testing, redirects from old URLs, test bookings with your team
    • Early March: go live, then watch Google Search Console and fix gaps
    • April to May: season opening, add new photos and video from the first weeks

Why a website redesign starting in March usually comes too late

If you start in March, you'll go live in May at best, right in the middle of opening. That's exactly when owners, managers and head chefs have no time to approve copy or run test bookings. Booking errors only show up when real guests call because their reservation never arrived.

Then there's Google. After a redesign, the search engine needs time to index the new URLs, and short ranking dips are normal. In February they cost you almost nothing. In June they cost you reservations. Many guests plan their Ibiza summer in winter and spring. If they find an old, slow or English-only site, they book somewhere else.

Multilingual website: which languages Ibiza guests expect

English and Spanish are a must in Ibiza. English is the shared language of international guests, and you need Spanish for mainland visitors, locals and partners on the island. After that, your audience decides: German, Italian, French or Dutch can bring a large share of guests depending on the venue. Check your booking data and analytics to see where people really come from.

Every language needs its own URLs, such as /de/ or /it/, so Google can show them separately, and complete content instead of half translations. Machine translation is a good start, but a native speaker should check menus, room names and booking copy. For Vanilla Beach Ibiza we built the website in five languages, with online booking.

Adding online booking to your website

Booking is the reason the website exists. For tables, sunbeds and daybeds, most venues use a reservation system, and for rooms the booking engine of the hotel system. Keep your current system if your team works well with it. Connect it so guests don't have to leave the website, or at least keep booking in the same design.

The booking button belongs on every page, especially on mobile. Check these points before launch:

    • Booking form and confirmation email in the language of each page
    • Tables, sunbeds, daybeds and rooms clearly separated, with terms like deposit or minimum spend
    • 2027 season dates and opening hours set up in the system
    • Tracking for every booking, so you know which page and which ad brings reservations
    • Test bookings by your team on iPhone and Android

Which pages Google and AI assistants need on a hotel website

Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Mode cite pages that answer a question clearly. A beautiful homepage with video isn't enough. Give every offer its own page with text: rooms and suites, the restaurant with the menu as real text instead of a PDF, sunbeds and daybeds, events, directions and parking, season opening hours and an FAQ page. That way your website answers the questions guests type into search and AI assistants.

On the technical side, you need hreflang tags for the language versions, structured data for hotel, restaurant and opening hours, fast load times on mobile and a redirect from every old URL to the matching new one. Match your name, address and phone number with your Google Business Profile. With this setup, the Vanilla Beach Ibiza website ranks in Google's top 5 for 710 keywords, and one in three search visits comes from ChatGPT.

Photos and video: what you need before the redesign

A website for Ibiza sells light, sea and atmosphere. The footage for that is shot in summer, not in January. So review what you have from the 2026 season now: photos of rooms, dishes, the beach and sunset, people eating and celebrating, plus a short video that plays as a silent loop at the top of the homepage. If someone else shot the material, check that the usage rights cover your website and online ads.

If something's missing, plan the shoot for the first weeks of the season and have the website built so new images are easy to swap in later. You can use content we produce on your website, your social media channels and your online ads without any extra agreement. For Migjorn Ibiza Suites & Spa with its restaurant UNIC, for example, we did a photo production. If you want to plan video, photos and website together, there's our Season Opening 2027 package for Ibiza and Formentera.

    Frequently asked questions

When should I redesign my Ibiza hotel website before the season?

Start the redesign in October or November and go live by early March at the latest. That gives you time for testing, test bookings and Google indexing before the season opens in April or May. Starting in March usually means launching right in the middle of opening.

How long does a website redesign take for a hotel or beach club?

Plan a few months from concept to launch for a multilingual website with online booking, not a few weeks. Copy, translations and approvals usually take the most time, not the design. Through our configurator you'll get a free concept within three business days, followed by a 20-minute call and a fixed-price quote.

How many languages should a website in Ibiza have?

At least English and Spanish, plus the languages your guests most often speak. Often that's German, Italian or French, and your booking data shows exactly which. We built the Vanilla Beach Ibiza website in five languages.

Will I lose my Google rankings with a website redesign?

Not permanently, if every old URL points to the matching new page with a 301 redirect and the content is at least as good as before. Short dips after launch are normal. That's why a redesign belongs in winter, not in peak season.

Can I keep my current reservation system?

In most cases yes, common reservation and booking systems can be connected to a new website. What matters is that the booking form and confirmations match the page language and every booking is tracked. We check this at the start of the project, before the design is set.

How much does a new website for an Ibiza hotel cost?

We don't quote a flat price, because languages, number of pages, booking and imagery change the workload a lot. After a free 20-minute call in German, English or Spanish, we'll send you a fixed-price quote. Travel costs for shoots in Ibiza are billed separately if they're not included in the quote.
